there doesn't need to be.
pkginfo without any package name will give you a list of installed packages.

ok
let me ask you another patch/installation realated problem.
i've a smc/wbem related problem and found a patch from sun but the same problem is exist.

i downloaded the patch and the package contains a bunc pf files, no pkg files. how can i apply this patch?

it is most probably a filesystem package.

post the ls ouput and i can confirm this, and give appropriate instructions.

hello again,
the first package is a patch;

the second package is a software module (wbem);
http://sourceforge.net/projects/wbemservices/

i downloaded them and don't know how to start installation, so i can not send/tell you and output.

they are file packages and not pkg files...

for the patch, unzip it then:

patchadd <patch number> # <patch number> will be a directory under where you unzip it.

for webm, i don't know what format that is in, and i don't have time to go looking at a sourceforge project to find out, however i think webm is in package format on the solaris dvd, so that might be a better place to get it.
