win2k to mandrake,internet connection sharing!

i've got a win2k machine(192.168.0.2) that i want to give access to mandrake through my network (192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0). i enabled ics and setup the mandrake machine to be (192.168.0.3 255.255.255.0) and i'm still not able to get internet access to my mandrake.

i guess i have to do dynamic ips through dhcp huh?

look into using win2k as a proxy or use ip masquerading.

set the mandrake systems default gateway to 192.168.0.2.

if you have static addresses, why use dhcp? that should

if you use mandrake as a gatewaye to ics. first you must enable ip masquerade in mandrake.

if you use mandrake as a client connection to internet by windows. you must set information about your network as: ip (ip of windows server, enable ics and subnet). you can use command "ifconfig" or "netconf" to do this work...
